Engagement Works!
How to Inspire, Implement, and Achieve an Effective Family Engagement Initiative
Join us October 6-7, 2010, in Las Vegas for the Engage! All Families Conference. Be sure to mark your calendar TODAY!
Why Attend?
At a time when public schools are experiencing intense scrutiny and ever increasing demands for continuous student improvement, it has become imperative for school communities to collaborate in the development of concise, comprehensive plans to successfully meet federal standards. Successful school improvement planning must be a carefully developed, long- term program that is data driven and well grounded in proven educational research and best practices. There is no “magic bullet” or quick fix. Effective long-term school improvement is achieved by energizing all stakeholders to successfully meet the needs of their students and their communities.
The Family Friendly Schools Engage! All Families Conference will provide school communities with an action plan to experience sustained academic success by exposing a clear path to a positive school culture that engages all parties to meet successfully their district/school wide mission. This cohesive approach creates a network of integrated relationships between leaders, staff, and families to insure communication, eliminate isolation and generate a plan for all students to achieve at a high level.
Success in family engagement and improved learning outcomes is determined by cultivating individual and organizational excellence that produces results. We can help you get started on your way to a successful and rewarding family engagement plan.
Who Should Attend?
With two full days of keynote and breakout sessions that address the often bewildering process of creating and implementing an effective family engagement initiative, this conference is a valuable learning opportunity for...
- Parents who are looking for effective strategies that support their child's optimal development, facilitate upper-level school and college readiness, and help their family attain self-sufficiency within the education system.
- Entry-level professionals, recent graduates, and students who are just beginning their careers and are looking for an effective and convenient way to cover the entire spectrum of family engagement in a short period of time; who want to build a network of experienced professionals who can provide future guidance; and who are interested in discussing the questions and challenges they are encountering in the area of family engagement and parent involvement.
- Support Staff are often the first (or only) school ambassadors some of your parents will ever meet. From bus drivers to administrative assistants to cafeteria workers, support staff are integral to family engagement programs and so often are the connecting points between educators and parents. Your collaborative engagement teams should be an conglomeration of parents, educators, administrators, and support staff.
- Seasoned school and district-level administrators and educators who want to remain current on best practices, new developments in the field, keep up with the changes in federal guidelines and requirements, and who are looking to increase their network of engagement professionals with whom they can collaborate.
Specifically, the Engage! All Families Conference is designed to meet the professional development and training needs of parents, directors, school board members, administrators, educators, parent and Title 1 coordinators, home visitors, education managers, administrative assistants, and other childhood support staff.

Family Friendly Schools works with educators and families in creating partnerships that effectively engage children in learning. Essentially, we help schools improve family engagement utilizing a process that is research-based, yet built on practical methods of connecting schools and families. Family Engagement has been proven to positively affect student learning outcomes, graduation rates, college placement, as well as improving the adequate yearly progress (AYP) ratings of a school.
For our important work, FFS is seeking accomplished, sincere people, with the talents and image to represent us and have the potential to develop the skills to facilitate our seminars as you continue working your own business. Although registration for this workshop is open, you are encouraged to contact Don Converse.
